I have been researching, discussing and sharing work and thoughts about production lines, knowledge production, indigenous peoples' rights, colonialism, decolonialism and the climate emergency for several years now.
At this moment of time, May 2023, I feel my silent words can be the only way I can act honestly. In the past months I have experienced a lot of noise, of anger and judgment growing around me (not necessarily at me). People that ignored the topic till not long ago, now pretend to know, to give direction, to tell others what's right and wrong. People who have been working or lived through the painful experience of extractivism, racism, colonial and systematic violence are angry, and their anger is often challenged.
For your magazine, I really wanted to share one of my project, but all I could produce was this poem, with an abstract image that connects with my past work (although again, in silence).
